Once upon a campus, two new (and broke!) teachers met. We bonded over lesson plans and caffeine. One summer we did what any good teacher would do — as soon as that bell rang, we drove far, far away! We hit the road— from coast to coast— chasing sunsets, hiking waterfalls in Yosemite. Eventually, we said, "I do" under those same towering trees.

We joined forces (and income), and finally made a livable wage in Austin. Just kidding! We settled in Buda. Two kids and a thousand diaper changes later, we still found ourselves drowning in prep work on our weekends. That’s when it hit us — our child's fingerprints all over our home and the scattered toys that drove us crazy will soon be gone, and we were missing out.

That’s how Life Happens Photography was born.

Now, instead of teaching equations, we capture connection. Instead of lesson plans, we chase laughter, light, and life’s messy, unfiltered moments. After all, life happens fast… and it deserves to be remembered beautifully.
